Morris Arboretum

The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania is a historic public garden that seeks to promote an understanding of the relationship between plants, people and place through programs that integrate science, art and the humanities.

The arboretum includes more than 13,000 labeled plants representing the temperate floras of North America, Asia, and Europe. The arboretum offers self-guided tours and special events year round.

Tyler Arboretum

Tyler Arboretum is one of the oldest arboreta in the northeastern United States. Located in Media, PA, the Tyler Arboretum encompasses 650 acres of renowned plant collections, heritage and champion trees, historic buildings and 17 miles of hiking trails through woodlands, wetlands, and meadows.

The Arboretum is open to the public 362 days a year.

Pennsylvania Horticultural Society

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1827 that offers programs, activities, workshops, and publications for gardeners of all levels and interests.

Each year, PHS produces the Philadelphia Flower Show, America’s largest and longest-running horticultural event, which features stunning displays by the world’s premier floral and landscape designers. Proceeds from the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, including donations from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individuals, support PHS programs and greening initiatives.

Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College

The idyllic 425-acre arboretum that makes up the Swarthmore College campus is often named one of the most beautiful in the country. Located just 11 miles from Philadelphia, the rolling hills, flowering trees, and hiking trails offer a nature escape on the edge of a busy metropolis.

The Scott Arboretum is a “Garden of Ideas”. It is available for self-guided tours year-round and also hosts a variety of educational programs for novice and advanced horticulturists, Swarthmore College students, and volunteers.
